Project Description
Mass Crane and Hoist in Tyngsborough, MA constructed a location for custom overhead crane manufacturing. The building includes a fabrication area, office space, and shipping dock. All slab-on-ground was fiber reinforced with 6.0 lb/cu yd of FORTA-FERRO and the composite deck was fiber reinforced with 4.0 lb/cu yd. The general contractor used FORTA-FERRO in previous projects and appreciated the speed of installation, finishability, and reduced cost associated with using fiber over steel. The general contractor partnered with the FORTA team knowing that FORTA’s engineers would provide accurate, 3rd party approved calculations and the field staff would be on site to make sure that the highest standards were upheld.
