Project Description
The City of Honolulu chose FORTA-FERRO to reinforce the bus pad on King Street in Honolulu, HI. FORTA-FERRO macro synthetic fibers were used at a dosage of 7.5 lb/cu yd in this slab-on-ground. Fibers were specified for this job because the city was looking for a way to reduce cracking. FORTA-FERRO fibers perform so well that the contractor could eliminate steel rebar or mesh and the city saved time and money.
