Project Description
A large fulfillment center in North Randall, OH spanned 23,000 cu yd with a fiber dosage of 7.5 lb/cu yd. The contractors specified FORTA-FERRO macro synthetic fibers to be used in this design.
The fiber reinforced concrete was easily pumped up to the multiple slab-on-metal-deck levels. This allowed the contractor to complete around 500 yd every couple of days which would not have been possible if steel reinforcements were used. The FORTA-FERRO fibers provided durability to the concrete controlling any future cracking.
