Project Description
Due to the high dosage of 8.0 lbs. / cu. yd. of fiber needed to complete this project, FORTA-FERRO® was chosen over competing reinforcement due to their unique ability to mix more uniformly at such a high dosage. The FORTA-FERRO® also added an increased level of durability, impact and abrasion resistance to the concrete slab. A broom finish was applied to the surface after the concrete placement.
Project Update
Because the owners chose FORTA-FERRO to reinforce their concrete, after 5 years, this parking lot continues to look great with minimal cracking despite the high volume traffic.
