Project Description
The residence and winery at Arroyo Grande Ranch represent a multi-application project for FORTA-FERRO®. Beginning in early 2004, FORTA-FERRO® has been used in over 900 cubic yards of concrete applications on the ranch, including a 1/2 mile of stamped and colored hillside driveways, a smooth-finish tennis court slab, precast/prestressed concrete roof trusses, and over 300 cubic yards of hard-trowelled floor slab for an equipment storage facility. Owner project manager, Brian Cowen, uses FORTA-FERRO® 2-1/4″ in almost all concrete placements on the ranch as an effective alternative to conventional reinforcing steel, and to offer uniform 3-dimensional crack control. The project has also garnered national attention in a January 2005 article “Rounding Up Quality” in The CONCRETE PRODUCER magazine.
