Project Description
As a part of a 30 mile concrete pavement project, the City of Ashtabula engineers called for a trial section utilizing FORTA-FERRO®. The FORTA-FERRO® section involved 30 cubic yards if very low slump (1-1/2″) concrete in this full-depth street pavement, range from 8-12″ in thickness. The FORTA-FERRO® mixed and distributed extremely well, even in low slump mix, and offered no difficulties in the slip-form paver lay down system. The FORTA-FERRO®, at a dosage of 3.0 lbs. / cu. yd., also allowed for an excellent non-skid finish.
