Germantown, TN - June 2001Project Description:
FORTA Corporation structural fibers were utilized on a small swimming pool in Germantown, Tennessee. The shotcrete mix was delivered in a ready mix concrete truck in two loads of three cubic yards each. The FORTA-FERRO® fibers were used at 10 lbs./cubic yard as a replacement for wire mesh and steel bars. The concrete was pumped through a two-stroke piston type pump with a 4" diameter hose. The concrete was very cohesive and had less rebound compared to plain concrete.
