Shotcrete Tunnel Lining
Clo de la Tech Winery, Redwood City, CA - May 2005Project Description:
FORTA-FERRO® structural fibers were used to replace other synthetic fibers in this tunnel lining project in Redwood City, California. Drill Tech Drilling & Shoring switched to FORTA-FERRO® fibers in the middle of this project for ease of mixing and finishing. Approximately 300 cubic yards of shotcrete with 7.5 pounds per cubic yard of FORTA-FERRO® were used inside the wine storage tunnel. The FORTA® reinforcement provided outstanding crack control, as well as reduced water permeability.
