ULTRA-NET®Projects

Project List:

Shotcrete Lake Lining

Devils Den Diving Resort, Ocala, FL - June 1997

Project Description:

Approximately 7,000 — 1.6 pound bags of FORTA® ULTRA-NET® 3/4" fibers were used in this man-made lake to train divers for cave diving. Fibers were specified at 3.2 lbs./yard and used in the walls, floors, and sidewalks at the resort. The FORTA® ULTRA-NET® fibers were chosen over Welded Wire Fabric for their ease of placement and providing three-dimensional reinforcement. The FORTA® reinforcement offered outstanding crack control, as well as benefits in areas of reduced water permeability. Several other Florida-based resorts have observed this 1997 project as a prototype for diving exhibits and theme parks.
