Project Description:
Fiber reinforced concrete (4" – 8" thick) was used on this whitetopping pour for a high traffic intersection where the existing asphalt was rutting/shoving. 680 yards of fiber reinforced concrete were used on this 1998 project at a main intersection in Marietta, Ohio. Ohio Department of Transportation Whitetopping mix design called for FORTA® ECONO-NET® 3/4" fibers to be used at a dosage rate of 3 pounds per cubic yard. Joints were cut every four feet.
