Prison Floor Slabs
Somerset Prison, Somerset, PA - May 1992Project Description:
The 1-1/2" long FORTA® ECONO-NET® fibrillated polypropylene fiber was specified for this May 1992 project by Astorino Associates and approved by H.O.K. The FORTA® reinforcement was utilized as an alternate to non-structural wire mesh reinforcement in the interior 4" thick slab on grade areas. The fiber was dosed at 1.5 pounds per cubic yard (0.9 kg./cubic meter) in 2,340 cubic yards of concrete.
